So I haven’t touched this space for a while! Almost every week since October I’ve been meaning to write something to update you all.
Well, a lot has happened since Feb 2018. First off, almost a year has gone past.
Secondly, two seasonal Crates have been released, Spring and Summer! Spring went well, really well. We sold out in two weeks and I had a lot of support from family and friends - who I think actually made up most of our sales, but hey :p Summer has been a little slower, however we did increase our supply by 100%. I believe there are many reasons for the slower season including everyone being away on holiday, my lack of marketing and effort and also the collection of products. Of course, every featured product this season is awesome (in my opinion and many others) but as a collection I feel it is un-balanced. The good thing is I’ve still had some incredible feedback about it and I credit that to the awesome NZ made goodies inside.
Thirdly, we got very close to signing a huge corporate deal which would have increased our seasonal crate supply by 500%. But in the end they weren’t quite our target audience. It was extremely exciting at the time and I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to present our crates to them. I definitely learnt a lot that week.
Fourthly, I just attended my first market with WildCrate! It was a lot of fun and I made some awesome connections. Didn’t sell much, but we all start somewhere right? I still have a lot to learn…
Lastly, things around here are changing. I’ve had a good summer break to think things over, a mini breakdown which was the turning point for this change and a few days to solidify this and start getting excited again.
